This is my success story, and I hope it’ll be yours one day, too.
Back in April of this year, I was contacted by a representative of Z Publishing House. She had come across my blog and expressed interest in receiving a submission of my writing for their fall publication, titled Texas’s Emerging Writers: An Anthology of Fiction.
You bet I’m still in disbelief.
It was also a close call, since her emails had initially been diverted to my spam folder. Thankfully, I was able to respond, get my submission compiled, and send three of my written pieces in by their May 20th deadline.
Just last night, I received the good news:
Holy crap, this is reality!
My next step will be to complete all the revisions that are assigned to me on July 25th.
But that’s later. Right now I’m in celebration mode. I’m also so thankful to the Z Publishing team for offering me this opportunity! If all goes well, you will get to see the first chapter of my second novel, “Summer Complex,” in the Texas’s Emerging Writers Anthology print this September!
For a glimpse of what Summer Complex is about, check out the song lyrics that I open my book with.
If you’ve ever had your work published, I’d love to hear about your experience. This is a moment I hope all bloggers and creative writers like myself get to experience.
To all of my followers and supporters, thank you for being here. For cheering me on with a like or a comment. I’ll be sure to post an update once we get closer to publication day!
Until next time, keep on writing and shooting for your own stars!
Way to go!
